What a painful experience it was to have to sit through this movie. I know going into an Adam Sandler movie that I’m in for a corny comedy but this movie was painfully bad and unfunny. My son likes every movie he sees but he just couldn’t find anything to like about this one.
Jack and Jill is “allegedly” a comedy about Jack (Adam Sandler) and his twin sister Jill (Adam Sandler) and their tumultuous annual Thanksgiving get-together. Jack is an advertising executive in Los Angeles and needs Al Pacino to play a role in a Dunkin Donuts commercial. Pacino happens to have the “hots” for Jill and Jack tries to use his sister to land Al Pacino for the commercial. A lot of chaos and hurt feelings ensue minus the comedy.
The acting was at an all-time low for Adam Sandler and the story line was predictable. Seeing the greatness of Al Pacino just didn’t fit into this dull movie and what was he thinking for doing this movie! It was painful to spend money to watch this movie at the theatres. It would be painful to even spend $1.20 at Redbox for it when it is released on DVD.
