Costco is selling a Strawberries and Cream Bar Cake and I really want to like it because it looks so festive and summery. This dessert has layers of sponge cake, strawberry filling, whipped cream and white frosting with a sprinkling of mini white chocolate curls and three red-and-white striped white chocolate squares.
The filling is a strawberry jam made with real strawberries and tastes great with the whipped cream. While a lot of Costco fans are obsessed with Costco’s newest dessert, I’m just not a fan of the sponge cake part of the dessert. It was crumbly and too moist and lacked flavor. I am glad though, that the Costco bakery is offering new baked goods more often now.
Also, the packaging can come loose so be careful transporting this cake.
