Face Masks No Longer Required at Costco (with some exceptions)

What a difference a year makes! Last year on May 4, 2020, Costco implemented a face mask requirement to shop in their warehouses. It created quite a stir initially but quickly became a normal part of shopping at Costco. So here we are, one year later, and masks are now no longer required at Costco if you’ve been fully vaccinated* and if your state and local regulations allow it. Here in my home state of Washington, the governor lifted the mask mandate for those who are vaccinated so Costco shoppers here can shop mask-free.

*People are considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine. Proof of covid vaccination is not required. BUT face coverings will still be required in healthcare settings at Costco, including Pharmacy, Optical, and Hearing Aid.
